Hindi Story for Kids Never Lie

Hindi Story for Kids Never Lie: There lived a lazy man in Shahpur village. Whose name was Govind. But in the village he was famous as Palturam.

There was a reason why it got the name Palturam. His lying and going back on his word. One day Palturam reached a barber shop –

Palturam: Hey brother, cut my hair.

Barber: Palturam, you told me to cut your hair last time. I am bringing the money in exchange now. It's been two months since this happened. First give me the past money and then give me today's money and then I will cut my hair.

Palturam: Hey brother you don't know. When I went to exchange the money after getting my hair cut, my money fell out. You cut your hair this time, I will give you today's money and the last money tomorrow.

The barber gave Paltu Ram's hair but when the time came to pay –

Paltu Ram: Brother, I will definitely give the money. But no matter how hard you work, you must be tired standing all day. Let us both go and have tea.

Barber: No, how can I leave the shop?

Palturam: Oh come on, I will bring tea for both of us.

Palturam went out to get tea and the barber waited but did not return. The barber understood that Paltu Ram had dodged again.

Similarly, Paltu Ram had betrayed many villagers. Now people used to move away as soon as they saw Paltu Ram. After borrowing money from many people, he would turn around as to when he borrowed the money.

One day some people of the village reached Paltu Ram's house. Paltu Ram's mother was at home.

chief: Aunty, we respect you a lot. But your son has made life difficult for the villagers. Explain to him otherwise we will throw him out of the village.

Mother: Sorry Chief, I have to explain it a lot. But he doesn't accept it, now I see only one way out, that is to get him married, maybe with the responsibility he will be able to control himself.

chief: Do whatever you want but we can't afford any more losses. No one in the village is like this. He is cheating everyone by paying lip service to someone who does not reciprocate.

The villagers leave after threatening them. Palturam was hiding inside the house and listening to everything. His mother confirms their relationship the very next day after seeing a girl in a nearby village.

Within a few days, Palturam gets married to Lajwanti. Everyone used to call him Lajo. She was very smart.

After marriage, when she goes to the well to draw water, the women of the village tell her everything about Palturam.

After coming home she talks to Palturam –

Lazo: My luck ran out, so Paltu like you was my luck. I am going to my husband.

Palturam gets very upset after hearing this. He holds Lajo's feet.

Palturam: No no don't leave me. I don't do all this intentionally, it has become my habit. Lies come out of the tongue automatically.

Lazo: Okay, I will fix everything but from today onwards you will not open your mouth to anyone outside. You opened your mouth and I turned my back.

Palturam agrees. Palturam starts working on his fields from the next day. When he reached the farm everyone was very surprised.

Farmer: Why you idiot, how did you come to the farm? You never used to work hard.

But Paltu did not answer, he continued working silently. In the afternoon, Paltu brought Lajo food, ate the food and then started working in the field.

By evening he was very tired.

The next day Lajo asked him to bring household items –

Paltu Ram: The villagers will not give me things and then you have forbidden me to speak in front of anyone.

Lazo: Let me also come with you. You just take the goods and I will talk to the shopkeepers.

Lajo reached a shop. As soon as he saw Palturam, the shopkeeper said –

Shopkeeper: Hey you have come again, last time I said I will send money from home and took the things and when my son asked for money there, he went back on his word. I can't give you stuff.

Lazo: Lalaji, I have come to collect the goods. Hold this money of the past and present, whatever goods they come to take from future, give them quietly, we will never borrow from you in future.

The shopkeeper gave him the goods.

Similarly, every day Lajo had to order whatever items he wanted. She would prepare his certificate and give it to Palturam and give him the money. Paltu Ram used to bring the goods without saying anything.

Gradually the people of the village started believing in Palturam. They started feeling that Palturam had improved.

One day some villagers were sitting on the chaupal. Palturam was going home.

chief: Why Palturam, you improved as soon as you got married, your mother was right.

When Palturam started leaving without saying anything, the villagers stopped him. Now Palturam is trapped, if he speaks then his wife will leave him. If he did not speak, the villagers would not let him go.

Paltu started signaling to Ram Mukhiya that if he spoke, Lajo would go away. Then he held his throat and tried to tell her that if Lajo left, he would hang himself.

The chief thought that his wife had hanged herself. All the people of the village came running to the chief's house. His wife was safe there. They all started killing Palturam.

Here someone told Lajo about Paltu Ram. She ran to the chief's house, rescued Palturam and asked him everything –

Lazo: Why don't you open your mouth and tell me why you were being beaten silently.

Palturam: It was you who had forbidden me that if I opened my mouth, you would go away. I was telling Mukhiya ji that if you go, I will die by hanging myself. He thought that his wife had died by hanging herself. After coming here, they all started beating me but I did not open my mouth again. Now you will not leave me.

Lazo: Chief, I had asked him to remain silent. So that he does not lie, no villager has suffered any loss in these days. Still you killed them.

chief: Daughter, forgive us, we have made a big mistake. Today no one will call it Palturam. Everyone will call him Govind.

Palturam and his mother were very happy that Lajo removed the stigma from Palturam's forehead.

Then everyone started living happily.
