Shweta Tripathi: The second season of Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen is going to stream soon on the OTT platform Netflix. Actress Shweta Tripathi will be seen in the role of Shikha in this series. On joining the sequel of another series after Mirzapur, Shweta says that she never took the pressure of exams in her childhood. I never even got good marks. Actually I was average in studies, so I didn't work very hard because I didn't enjoy studies, but acting is a passion for me, when you work with people you like, for example the director. Going to Siddharth Sengupta's set is fun because a lot of creativity comes out, so here it is like waiting for the report card. It's a part of the process and you hope the audience likes it because we've worked hard on it.
I watch the first season before shooting the second.
Talking about preparations to join the sequel, Shweta Tripathi says that before shooting the second season, I watch the first season. I like to watch to know the body language and voice of the character because Shikha's voice is different. Golu of Mirzapur has a different sitting style. Some things that you do, whether it's season one or two. From there I take my character forward. Even if there are changes, you should integrate them into the character wisely because as actors we are growing, but the audience should also not feel cheated. Every such work should be done in a restrained manner. You can't overdo it here. Sometimes, while watching the last season, I like to see not just my own performance but everyone else's. To be honest, when you watch the previous seasons, you get to learn something or the other. Well, there is a lot of newness in the new season. This season there is a dead person in Shikha's bathroom. I can't even imagine this in real life. However, on this occasion, you block your natural performance by thinking too much. I don't like to think about anything in such a scene. I just react with the scene.
Tahir is jealous
We actors are often asked about competition. My thinking about competition is that this word tells you that this is success. If you live in a certain place and you have such expensive cars, overall this word tries to blind you and we become blind. In this process we forget that we are actors. I don't want that. What is important for me is whether I am working on my skills. If I get a role tomorrow, will I be able to do justice to it. No competition but yes sometimes there is jealousy. If I get a chance, I would love to play the role that Tahir is playing. We actresses don't get such roles. In such a situation, I feel jealous of the characters played by male actors.
Audience attention has decreased
For some time now, OTT content has not been able to bring the impact that was expected from it. On such discussions, Shweta says that our attention time has reduced a lot. It is scary that people get easily distracted and the viewer changes the series and sometimes even changes the OTT channel. It's almost like voting. The audience wants a lot of content but they do not watch it leisurely. If the show doesn't hold their attention within a few minutes, they move on, which is very wrong. Please give some time. To maintain the interest of the audience, everyone from makers to actors are busy in creating different types of content.
film on mirzapur
Mirzapur is now going to come in film format. Everyone knows this. That's all I can say about the casting. Only one or two actors will be replaced, the rest of the star cast will remain the same as in the series. I can't say anything more than this at the moment.
