Now know what to do to reduce anal itching
Avoid scratching
If you feel the urge to scratch your skin when it itches, try to avoid it as much as possible. Constant itching can make the condition worse and lead to infection. To get relief from itching, compress the affected area with a cotton cloth instead of nails. Also, if you have regular itching problems, keep your nails short so that you don’t scratch while sleeping.
Keep the anal area clean and dry
Moist anal area can cause itching. If even a small amount of stool remains, it can cause irritation, itching and even infection. On the other hand, excessive itching can cause a burning sensation in the anal area. Always clean your anal area thoroughly after passing stool. Also, keeping it dry is equally important.
If you wipe the anal area, use slightly wet paper for this. Dry paper can cause itching and irritation. Also, due to dry paper, the stool is not completely cleaned, so always use wet paper. Do not forget to clean your anal area with mild soap while taking a shower daily.
Eat light and simple meals
If you have itching and burning problem in the anus area, avoid spicy food. Consuming spicy food can cause stomach irritation and irritate the anal skin while passing stool, due to which the condition of itching becomes more severe. If you already have itching, eat plain food.
Have regular bowel movements
Drink more fluids, and add fiber-rich foods to your diet. Adding fruits and vegetables to your diet will help you maintain regular, firm bowel movements.
Seek medical treatment
If anal itching is caused by piles, liver and kidney problems, digestion problems and any type of infection, then consult a doctor immediately. Ignoring it for a long time can trouble you. In such a situation, use the medicines, creams and gels suggested by the doctor.
