Naiduniya News, Narayanpur. Security forces killed three Naxalites including a woman in an encounter on Monday evening in Abujhmad area on the Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra border. Police have recovered weapons and explosives including AK-47 rifles from the spot.
Narayanpur SP Prabhat Kumar said that on the information of the presence of Naxalites, a joint contingent of security forces was sent on anti-Naxal operation. The Naxalites, who were sitting in ambush between the forest and hills in the area bordering Maharashtra in Maad region, started firing as soon as they saw the security forces. After the retaliatory action by the security forces, the Naxalites ran away.
There is no report of any jawan being injured
So far, police have recovered the bodies and weapons of three Naxalites during the search of the spot. The Naxalites killed in the encounter may be from PLGA Company Number Five and Maad Area Committee. There is no information of any jawan being injured in the encounter. Efforts are being made to identify the dead Naxalites.
